The All Ireland Young Stockperson Finals are taking place this Sunday 4th September at the Royal Meath Show in Trim. This competition is organised and sponsored by the Irish Shows Association, the Irish Farmers Journal and FBD.
There are three categories; Junior, Intermediate & Senior. All of the finalists have been competing and qualifying at shows across the country all Summer. There are 28 finalists altogether across the three categories.
The finalists will all compete for the All-Ireland titles and over €5000 in prize money as they will be judged on a range of areas including; presenting and handling their animal, general knowledge about the animal, stock judging, personal presentation and presentation of their animal.
