The Munster Hereford Branch held their very successful Young Handlers competition in memory of John Neenan on Saturday 17th September in Kanturk mart, following the inaugural event held in 2021. The branch also held a Hereford calf show which complimented the Young Handlers competition.

There were 33 young handlers competing for the John Neenan Junior & Senior Shields and there were 30 more calves competed in the calf classes.

Many thanks to the judges on the day; Michael Barrett, who judged the Young Handlers and William Jones who judged the calf classes – bother were meticulous in their judging and very fair to all competitors.

The event was a great success all round and very well supported by the branch and Hereford breeders.
