Charleville Show – Saturday 25th June.
There will be two dedicated Hereford Young Handler classes for young people aged;
Junior – Aged under 12 on 1st January 2022
Senior – Aged 12 – 18 on 1st January 2022

Please note: On the online entry form it states that the classes are only open to paid up Munster members but this is NOT the case.
There is €25 entry fee for this class which also includes entry into the Munster Young Handlers Competition which will be held in Kanturk Mart on 17th September and entries can be made to the Munster branch by contacting Tommy Cregan on 087 211 1819.
Along with the YH classes there are several Hereford classes on the day including Munster Bull of the Year and Munster Heifer of the year championships so it is promising to be a good day out with a big show of Herefords.
Longford Show – Sunday 3rd July.
There will be two dedicated Young Handler classes as hosted by Next Gen Herefords for age groups;
Junior: aged 12 – 17
Senior: aged 18 – 25
If young handlers have no cattle to show – cattle can be organised on the day for you.
Prizes on the day include; 1st: €100 Grooming kit, 2nd: €75 Grooming kit & 3rd place: €50 Grooming kit.
There will also be a stock judging class on the day which can be entered on the day.
This will also big a big Hereford show including the ‘Paul and Vincent All-Ireland Heifer Calf Championship’ and the ‘Flynn and Lynch All-Ireland Bull Calf Championship’ with prize money upto €1000 for each class.

Tullamore Show – Sunday 14th August.
This will be the National Hereford Show 2022. Among classes to suit every age of Hereford animal – there will also be the annual Young Handler classes. The classes age range are;
Junior: 12 – 17 years old
Senior: 18 – 25 years old
All entrants will receive a rosette & plaque and the winners receive a trophy. Prizes on the day also include; 1st place: €100 Grooming kit, 2nd place: €75 Grooming kit & 3rd place: €50 Grooming kit.

Trim Show – Sunday 4th September.
Trim Show is generally a big Hereford show with something for everyone and this year promises to be no different.
Trim show has also been chosen to hold the finals of the All Ireland Young Stockperson Championship 2022 for Juniors, Intermediates and Seniors.
This is a separate championship being organised by the Irish Shows Association and involves attending qualifying shows throughout the Summer to qualify for the final in Trim. There are excellent prizes up for grabs from the competition and a range of shows nationwide to suit everyone. The competition will be judged on handling cattle and ringcraft, general knowledge about the animal been shown, stock judging, personal presentation and presentation of the animal. Any breed of animal is permitted in the competition also.
