Next Gen Herefords are gearing up for a busy year with many events and activities on the agenda. To start off the year – the youth group are taking a tour of Country Crest on Sunday April 24th at 11am and are welcoming all young persons who are interested in joining the tour.

About Country Crest

Country Crest are a family owned and run business based in North County Dublin. The farm is currently run by the third generation of the Hoey family who have expanded over time to a current workforce of 400 employees. The Country crest brand was developed in 1993 with the production and sale of potatoes for the domestic market. Since then the company and the brand has grown considerably and the Hoey’s now also have a very successful feedlot operation, breed Pedigree cattle, run a prepared foods division known as Ballymaguire foods and also have an on-farm shop where they the sell craft meats, local vegetables, prepared meals and artisan foods.

Tour details

We are delighted that the Hoey’s are welcoming Next Gen Herefords onto their farm. The group will be given a tour of the whole operation at Country Crest including the Pedigree Herefords, the feedlot, the farm shop and a background from the owners about how and where it all began. All young persons are more than welcome to come along and anyone who needs to attend with a parent/guardian or friend is welcome to do so aswell.
