Hereford calves are on fire once again this year with top prices of €380 being achieved for Hereford cross bull calves across Irish marts during January.

Hereford bull calves sold for €375 in Enniscorthy mart last week.

Also last week, Hereford bull calves made up on €380 in GVM Kilmallock & Hereford Heifer calves made up on €370 in Carnaross Mart.

The same strong trade was seen this week in Bandon where Hereford bulls sold for the tops of €375 & Hereford heifers made €325 last Monday. There was good trade in Carrigallen also when Hereford cross calves sold for up on €340.
