The rain held off long enough for the cattle classes at the Oldcastle 80th Agricultural show on Sunday 21^st July. The day was a great success and in particular for Cavan breeders Sean & Gary Mc Kiernan and family. The Mc Kiernans’ secured overall Champion with their Hereford cow ‘Corlismorepoll 1 Sydney 941’. They also won 2^nd place Hereford heifer born between 01/01/18 & 31/08/18 with their super heifer ‘Corlismorepoll 1 Amber 977’.

Sean and Gary of Corlismore Herefords are also part of the Elite Genetic Production sale that will be held on Saturday evening 31^st August in Tullamore Mart, along with Balleen Herefords and Trillick Herefords. There will be over 30 supreme quality breeding females for sale on the day along with 3 lots of 3 embryos from Balleen Herefords.

Congratulations to Hugh and Sarah Murray on winning reserve Champion and 1^st place Pedigree Hereford heifer born between 01/01/18 & 31/08/18 with the supreme heifer, ‘Grianan Prim T854’.
