The 83rd Tinahely agricultural show was held on the August Bank Holiday Monday with the Hereford entry on par with other breeds. John Jones ‘Clonroe Deirdre’ continued on her winning streak from Gorey and Mullingar taking first place in the cow class. Niall Jones from Macmine herd took 2nd place with ‘Grianan Cooperrobin N679’ and Mervyn Parr’s ‘Grianan orange 589’ came 3rd in what was a tough class.
