Supreme Hereford Champion: Kilsunny Lass Nectar

The Kilsunny herd of Trevor Dudley, Kilsunny Hse, Dovea, Thurles, Co. Tipperary secured the overall supreme Hereford breed championship at last week’s Dungarvan Show with their senior heifer, Kilsunny Lass Nectar. This stylish in-calf heifer is a member of the illustrious Lass cow family at Kilsunny and is sired by the Dudley’s senior stock bull, Glaslough Judge. Nectar is a familiar fixture in the winner’s enclosure having won the 2017 Munster Junior Female of the Year title as a calf last year and is continuing her winning form into 2018 with three consecutive championship wins under her belt from Clonmel, Ossory and Dungarvan shows.

Trevor & family also took the reserve championship with their senior bull calf, Kilsunny Ozzy. Ozzy is a five star son of the AI bull, Cill Cormaic Kasper and is out of the mutli-award winning show cow, Kilsunny Lass Lily who was female champion at Charleville Show last month.

In addition to both championship wins, the Kilsunny herd also swept the board in the Hereford section, winning 1^st prize in all four classes on offer to cap an incredible day’s showing for the Dudley family.
