Last year Longford Show secured sponsorship from Paul & Vincent’s for their All-Ireland Hereford Bull Calf Championship. The show is happy to announce that they have secured this sponsorship again for 2018 along with additional support from Flynn & Lynch Financial Services Ltd for their All-Ireland Hereford Heifer Calf Championship. John Cahill from Paul & Vincent’s was delighted with the quality of cattle exhibited at last year’s event, while Enda Flynn who is Hereford member himself said he was happy to come on board, adding that he was really impressed with the high numbers experience at last year’s event and hopes for an even bigger turnout this year.

The show is scheduled for the 1st of July and will take place in the same location as last year just off the N4. Plenty of silverware and attractive prize money is up for grabs with the the two championship classes for the bull and heifer classes adding up to a total of approximately €2,000.
With roughly 60 cattle entered for the Hereford section at last year’s show, it is largely anticipated that this year’s event will attract even further interest, making it a major championship for Hereford enthusiasts not to be missed.
Philip & Laura Vincent from the well known Pulham Hereford Herd in the UK will cross the water to judge the event.
