Castleisland one of the top outlets in the country for calf buyers witnessed some excellent prices for Hereford Cross calves this year not least on the occasion of the Munster Branch IHBS calf promotion and information day. At €525 for the bull calf winner and €500 for the heifer calf winner it was clear farmers were prepared to pay for Hereford quality and substance. Hereford for Performance, Premiums and Profits
