This is the second National Calf Show and follows on the very successful inaugural event held at the same venue in 2014.

Such was the success of the event organised by the North Leinster Branch of Irish Hereford Breed Society Ltd. that it was a unanimous decision to host the event again in 2015.

With 90 entries the event will feature many young quality calves from Ireland’s top Hereford breeders who utilize the best available genetics with a commercial focus.

This is an opportunity to see these young animals at a formative stage in advance of their coming out at some of the 2016 spring and autumn sales. This may well present an opportunity for you to select a potential sire or perhaps a breeding heifer which can enhance your breeding program.

Progeny of various sires with diverse bloodlines will be exhibited before a knowledgeable judge of the breed but the final arbiter will as always be you the breeder or spectator.
