Demand for Hereford cross stores both steers and heifers for further feeding was much in evidence this week at GVM Kilmallock where the Irish Hereford Society in association with sponsors Slaney Foods International selected a Champion and Reserve Award winning group in each section. The purpose of the promotion was to highlight the demand for Quality Assured steers and heifers required to supply the Slaney Foods Hereford scheme which with partners Linden supply the 142 Lidl outlets countrywide with the award winning ‘Inisvale’ Certified Hereford Beef. Denis Brennan representing sponsors Slaney Foods International at the event said that additional stock is required weekly in order to meet demand.
